Vanilla Sugar

Global Retail Goes Green

How does a global retail wholesaler, with a complex supply chain and logistics model, reduce its emissions meaningfully?

Brief

Sustainability is a core value at Vanilla Sugar. We want to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions as far as possible, but we're worried it will have a negative commercial effect.

Solution

With supply chain (Scope 3) emissions, and distribution and logistics as major emissions drivers, we helped Vanilla Sugar understand how to record, analyse and report on their emissions. We then started looking at areas of reduction. Vanilla Sugar were so please with the results, that they've since committed to submitted Science Based Targets - a global benchmark for decarbonisation.
